Quay County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a public office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, accept bond, or retrieve an official booking file. The government office that created or maintains the record is the authoritative source for those questions.

Official Quay County Record Contacts

Start with the office tied to the record type. Quay County does not publish a unified public roster or booking-photo feed, and no published county booking-photo fee was located. For current detention or a jail booking-file question, use the detention office. For a sheriff-created report or photograph, call the sheriff's main office and ask for the current records custodian. These offices, rather than this site, determine custody and release records.

The sheriff has no separately published records line or email. A written IPRA request should identify the requester, provide contact information, and describe the record with enough detail to locate it. New Mexico's IPRA framework, NMSA 14-2-1 et seq. guidance, describes prompt inspection, a written explanation within three business days when immediate access is not possible, and a written response within 15 calendar days when the request cannot be fulfilled earlier. Request a fee estimate before copies because Quay County has not published a booking-photo amount.

  • For a CAD, 911, or phone record, use TQRECC at (575) 461-2280 or Jamie Luaders at jamie.luaders@quaycounty-nm.gov, Attn Records, TQRECC, PO Box 1246, Tucumcari, NM 88401. That path serves dispatch records, not a booking photo unless confirmed.
  • For an arrest reported by Tucumcari Police, use the city's official IPRA form. The clerk accepts the signed form by fax at (575) 461-2049, mail to PO Box 1188, hand delivery to 215 East Center, or email to cityclerk@cityoftucumcari.com.
  • For Logan, contact police at (575) 487-2856 or the village clerk. No Logan request form or public arrest-log portal was located.
  • For San Jon, first confirm whether the Quay County Sheriff or New Mexico State Police created the report. The NMSP Tucumcari substation is (575) 461-3300.
  • For a later court event, use the official court contacts. A jail-log release reason is not a final disposition unless the court record confirms it.
  • For state custody, use the New Mexico Corrections Department offender search or its NextRequest portal. County booking records remain with the county or arresting agency.
  • For separate federal or immigration custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither is a Quay County booking search.

When asking for a record, give the full name, agency, date range, and booking number if known. A custody confirmation, booking report, photograph, CAD log, and court disposition may be separate records. Ask the custodian to state whether any releasable portion exists and to identify a legal basis for any withholding or redaction.
